Big thanks to Sarah Johnson from Rogue Ceramics (and photographer Rachael Wilson) for allowing us to use the lovely images in this demo. Below is a little bit about Sarah and how she started her business:
Sarah Johnson lives in the seaside city of Victoria, British Columbia where she works for a web design company by day and creates pottery in her humble studio by night. After completing a degree in Theatre and English, Sarah started taking pottery classes with a friend; first going only one night/week and quickly growing into going four nights/week or more. With encouragement from her mentor Ann Coleman, Sarah leapt into opening her own studio with a few other local potters. The studio is 350 square feet of a pottery dreamworld that sits above an ice cream shop, beside a brewery, across the hall from a coffee roaster, around the corner from a pie shop, and steps to the ocean. It is her happy place. Sarah strives to create pieces that reconcile movement with tranquility and approachable minimalism, and intentional design with the natural world.
